WHY I AM CALLED TO SHARE WITH YOU THIS MESSAGE

I am 54 years old, and have been saved since I was 5. However, the most life-changing event in all of my years with the Lord came just before I turned 30. That is when I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and yes - with the evidence of speaking in other tongues!

At that time, my relationship with the Lord deepened in a way that I could never have imagined experiencing on earth. All I wanted after that was HIM and to do exactly what He wanted me to do the rest of my life.

Soon after that experience I received in my heart the call to heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead, and preach - with words and with music. I even asked Him to break me, knowing that would maximize my effectiveness as a vessel for Him.

Part of that calling was to walk away from the doctors and drugs of this world. Although I was not 100% "attached" to them, I did have a lot of questions, which I certainly asked Him.

He was faithful to answer those questions, and with every step I took, my faith grew and grew and I know that His absolute will is to heal every sickness, just as it is to heal every sin.

One of the questions I asked Him - as millions still ask Him - is why not all are healed. Well, we can't ever expect HIS answer to "WHY" because I know we couldn't comprehend it if He gave it. But He DID show me that a big reason why people have lost their battle to disease is because they have divided their faith, by appealing to doctors while appealing to the Lord.

The pulpits have passed their approval of utilizing the doctors of this world, as though they were an arm of God, which couldn't be further from the truth. And incidiously the enemy has gotten people to pray prayers of "Heal them Lord" while saying "Bless the hand of the doctors". That's like a cheating husband asking His wife to help beautify his mistress while she takes that wife's place in her husband's bed!!

Yes, the gospel is offensive to people, and so is this revelation. But at the same time, it answers the question "Why" in more cases than you want to know.

We must come out of Babylon. But first, many need to see that modern medicine and its agents ("doctors") are in fact a negation of the Blood of Jesus, just as circumcision was to the Grace, etc.
Finally after walking this out for 13 years, the Lord instructed me to write it down. The written form is titled Strangers Messing With The Oil. Until the Lord opens the door to publish this book, I would like to share pieces of its message with you on this blog!

I pray that the Lord will confirm His word to you by His Spirit. I pray that you will come to know Him and His all-sufficiency for you in all of your body's needs.
Truly, if you are sick, then call for one who is strong in faith (an elder), let them anoint you with oil, and the prayer of faith will raise you up!

JESUS DID NOT CRY OVER SPILT MILK!

What would you do if you came into town and found out that one of your loved ones had died while you were gone? And if you “wept”, would it not look like you were upset that they had died and there wasn’t anything left for you to do but mourn?

Jesus had been on a journey with His disciples. When they arrived in Bethany, He was informed that Lazarus, a good friend of His, had died. If Jesus were like anyone else, He would have been pretty upset, and may have even cried. However, Jesus was not “just like anyone else” nor did he cry over His friend’s death.

As He came into town, Lazarus’ sister Martha went out to meet Jesus. She told Him that He had missed an opportunity to heal her brother and that her brother was now dead.

However, Jesus replied to her that her brother would rise again. He told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”

Afterwards, Martha went to get her sister Mary, who greeted Jesus the same way, “If you had only come earlier, our brother wouldn’t have died.”

Then Mary began to weep. The others who had come with her also were weeping. Jesus was moved by all of this, and He too became filled with sadness and empathy, and started weeping the way they were. Right?

Absolutely wrong!!

Let’s back up a bit. Reading the eleventh chapter of John, we see that Jesus knew about Lazarus’ sickness a few days before he died. In fact, Lazarus’ sisters sent word to Jesus to let him know so that He would go immediately to heal Lazarus.

As far as we can tell, Jesus could have gone immediately to heal Lazarus, but instead deliberately chose not to! He decided to stall and stay where he was for two more days. He did this for a heavenly strategy that would bring an even greater glory to God and to His Son.

After those two days, Jesus knew that Lazarus had “died”. He also knew that the sickness would not ultimately end there – “in death”. Now, He determined, was the time to return to where Lazarus was to perform a great miracle to increase His disciples’ faith significantly. Jesus was excited about it!

On their way there, Jesus said, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up!” After seeing that the disciples thought He meant a literal sleep, Jesus emphasized specifically, “Lazarus is dead!”

Jesus knew from the very beginning – from His stalling for time to give Lazarus a chance to die, to their journey to where the “dead” Lazarus was – exactly what was going on. He, in fact, controlled every detail of it!

In reading this passage one can see that Jesus was literally excited about Lazarus’ death. He knew Lazarus’ death would provide an awesome “stage” for God’s glory! He even stated (11:15), “for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe.”

There is no doubt that Jesus was totally aware of everything and He was really excited about what was about to take place!

So let’s review this.
First, Jesus was totally aware that Lazarus had been sick. Second, Jesus deliberately allowed Lazarus’ sickness to cause Lazarus’ death. Third, Jesus anticipated with excitement that the Father was going to have Him raise Lazarus from the dead!

Let’s picture the scene of His arrival again, but knowing now what the Word tells us beforehand. Jesus stalls so that death can occur. He determines that death has occurred, and with excitement He goes to where the dead man is to raise him from the dead.

As He enters the town, one of the grieving sisters, Martha, goes to greet him. Martha told Him that “if only He had been there sooner” her brother would not have died. He replied to her that her brother would rise again, and He means it literally and in “real time”.

The sister, however, passes His comment off. She relegates it to some theological generality that has nothing to do with the “here and now”, but rather applies to the last day (just as most would-be "Christians" have done today).

She goes to tell her sister that Jesus has come to town. She doesn’t, however (as far as we know), mention anything about His promising to raise the brother up. She just told her sister that Jesus was asking for her.

In the meantime, Jesus is excited about the Father’s heart and the Father’s power that has been given to Him. Jesus came with an excitement about what would soon take place, but NO ONE is taking Him or seriously! He has come with great news, and every body is still weeping and mourning – as if His coming meant nothing!

The scripture says Mary was weeping, and the Jews that she was with were weeping. Jesus was right there, but His presence meant nothing to them!

The scripture then states that He “wept”. But this was not a weeping of sorrow or bitter loss. He was not weeping as those around Him were weeping, as though with sadness over Lazarus’ death.

The word meant a silent, inner groaning. He was deeply troubled – the word also means “deeply moved” – not over Lazarus’ death. How crazy for Him to start crying about something that He had been so excited about!

No, Jesus was undoubtedly upset over the incredible disregard for His presence and His reassurance of hope!

For Jesus to have stood there CRYING, as though it were too late to do anything about Lazarus, was incongruous with what He had just stated to His disciples as “the plan”.

For Jesus to have stood there CRYING because Lazarus was not breathing at the moment would have been as foolish as a child’s crying over a tiny bit of spilt milk while holding in their hand a huge sponge!

The word for “wept” was not the same word used for many other instances of sorrow over death or loss. It was not the word used to describe the lament and mourning that Jesus did over Jerusalem, and which the others at Lazarus death were doing over his death. The word used in both those other instances was “klaio”, and it was an audible weeping over a loss for which it was too late or out of ones control.

The word used to describe Jesus’ response to the environment surrounding Lazarus’ death was “dakryo”, an inarticulate, even groaning response. Jesus was upset, clearly – not over the death, but over the unbelief He found!

Jesus was in no way upset about Lazarus’ death. He had already stated that He was “glad” that it occurred – even that He had deliberately allowed it to occur! He had already stated He was glad about what the final outcome would be and how it would bring glory to God.

No, Jesus was obviously upset that His news and His coming meant absolutely nothing to a group of faithless, clueless people.

The scripture goes on to say, in verse 38, that Jesus – once more “deeply moved” – came to the tomb, and said “Take away the stone”. Martha then argued with Jesus – over the odor of the tomb! Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

How could Jesus not have been “moved” with an anger at the lack of faith He encountered!

Jesus NEVER lost sight of His purpose in the whole circumstance. Never would He have “paused for a moment of silence”, or “stopped to smell the situation”. He was always mindful of His Father’s purpose and obviously Jesus was anxious to get on with it!

Unfortunately, the Jews misperceived His heart as they always misperceived Him. Should that not be a clue in itself?

Seeing Him from a vast spiritual distance, they thought that His sorrow was over His friend’s death since He loved Lazarus so much. The Jews, like the rest of the crowd, expected nothing from Him as well.

Jesus had the power over life and death, and still has it. And just as He was given this by His Father, so are we given the same! We should not be filled with grief and sorrow with all deaths. We should be aware as Jesus was of those opportunities deliberately and strategically set up by the Father - for us to raise those individuals from the dead!

As we know, the story thankfully did “go on” – not because of the people’s faith, but for the purpose of glorifying the Father through His Son Jesus. Lazarus did “come out”. Jesus did accomplish His mission in that situation, but undoubtedly with great sorrow over the lack of faith which He had to fight all the way to the end.

Jesus said He could do nothing on His own, but did what He did by the power given Him by His Father. He told us, His followers – additional “sons” of the Father – that we would be empowered to do the same things that He did and even greater things than He did.

Oh, that we would put ourselves in the hands of this Father and allow Him to conform us into the image of His Son. Let’s stop trying to conform His Son into our image of us!

Let’s identify Him in the midst of our own battles, and not cause Him to weep over our listlessness and ho-hum attitude concerning His power and compassion for us

Let’s not bring His spirit to groan over us by our arguing and human reasoning. Let’s not keep sullen, weeping faces in our situations when He has appeared on our scene and has promised to help us!

Let’s preach about Him, the conquering, delivering Savior that He truly is. Let’s stop thinking of Him as a man who cries over “spilt milk” with the power of God yet in His hand and about to be manifest!

WARNING TO YOU CHRISTIAN COUNSELORS WHO LEAD YOUR "CLIENT" TO ANY OTHER ANSWER THAN JESUS!!

A few weeks ago I was at the gym and watching the monitors. I watched an ad with video only, as I always bring my own worship music with me.

On the screen I saw the name of a new psychotic drug. To sell the praises of this drug, they showed a handful of depressed people and how they needed this new DRUG. Looking into the eyes of those depressed, my heart was stirred and wanted so much to show them JESUS!!

As the commercial went on, the "good guy", the "counselor", gave these people this new drug, and it brought a smile to their faces.

I wanted to SCREAM!! How the Lord is so ANGRY that people - even those claiming to be HIS children - will receive these needy people into their care, and NOT take them to JESUS, where there is every answer for every need.
Some of His so-called "children" would even give these individuals this drug - to MASK the condition of their soul.
Some of HIS so-called children are taking these people who are face-to-face with their heart-need of the Savior Jesus, and they are led to mask that need with a DRUG, intoxicating them away from salvation and right into HELL!!!

These "counselors" are pushing "Leprosy of the Soul", masking the symptoms of the heart put by the Lord to show those individuals their need of a Saviour. And these impostor-counselors (even worse those claiming to be Christian!) for the sake of a "dime", push a drug on them, so they don't feel their pain. Just like leprosy, the problem of sin is still there, but this "kind and knowledgeable" counselor has intoxicated them from being aware of their sin.
It's one thing for the world to do this, as it doesn't purport to know any better. But for someone claiming to be a Christian to do this is absolute harlotry!!!!
SHAME ON YOU supposed "Christians" who have sold your original mission (The Great Commission) to follow this cash-cow methodology of the world!!!
Our God is an ANGRY God!! He is judging this nation. He is judging this so-called group of "His children", this so-called "church"! How DARE THEY!!!

If we are HIS disciples in THIS world, then we are full-time ministers of HIS gospel, and NOT the answers of this world.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:9
Christian "Counselors", receiving hungry, hurting souls into your care but administering the gods of this world, the methods of this world, the DRUGS of this world, I have this warning from the Most High God ---
THE BLOOD OF YOUR CLIENTS IS ON YOUR OWN HANDS!!!

HIPPOCRATIC OATH - You actually BELIEVE God gave us THESE guys swearing THIS OATH???

Before you read this oath, consider these questions:
  • Why would God tell His children to seek the help of unsaved men and women, fighting our battle with us in a realm that we are instructed NOT to - the FLESH. He told us that we are not to war against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. Did HE forget or did we?

  • Why would He have added flesh fighters to "finish off" something He FINISHED at the Cross??
  • How could a Holy God, such as the God of the Bible, EVER endorse, EVER colabor with, EVER RECOMMEND that any of His blood-washed children partake of, leave alone APPEAL TO HELP FROM those who have specifically sworn their allegiance to NAMED and UNNAMED gods and goddesses, having "somehow" forgotten to name the Lord Himself?? Do you actually think this is a light matter to our Lord?
  • What does He tell us about OATHS? OTHER GODS? OTHER GOSPELS??
  • Who made THESE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS the grand exception to every other call to holiness, divine instruction, narrow living, and absolute agreement with the TRUE and living WORD OF GOD??

Take a look at what these men and women (including "Christian?" doctors?) of this arena have sworn by oath for centures:

Hippocratic Oath

I swear by Apollo, the healer, Asclepius, Hygieia, and Panacea, and I take to witness all the gods, all the goddesses, to keep according to my ability and my judgment, the following Oath and agreement: *(Excuse me, but did you happen to notice whether they even acknowledged the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Hello?!!)
To consider dear to me, as my parents, him who taught me
this art; to live in common with him and, if necessary, to share my goods with him; To look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art.
I will
prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone.
I will not give a lethal drug to anyone if I am asked, nor will I advise such a plan; and similarly I will not give a woman a
pessary to cause an abortion.
But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts.
I will not
cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest; I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners, specialists in this art.
In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction and especially from the pleasures of love with women or with men, be they free or slaves.
All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal.
If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy my life and practice my art, respected by all men and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my lot.

What in this picture looks or even sounds remotely like the God of the Bible?

The BLOOD!! The BLOOD!!! Plead the BLOOD!!!

Brothers and sisters, we have waited too long, as we have saddened the heart of our Father to have been forced to a "do or die" situation like this, but we have a merciful, loving Father nevertheless!! He will hear you now if you come to Him repentantly for seeking out the help of medicine men of this world in the past, as now they will present to you no cures, no answers, ultimately, no help.

The Father protected the children of Israel for 40 years as they went through the desert on their way to the promised land. Not one of them was feable, i.e. sick!! God CAN do that for His children. If He did that then, just imagine what He will do through those who are now a part of His Kingdom, of which the LEAST is greater than the greatest of the prophets!!

Yes, we have authority, we have power, we have VICTORY in the Blood of Jesus, because of the Cross by which He died!!!! We never lost that - we ALWAYS had that! But someone bamboozled us into thinking that that was not good enough, it was too "simple", and that surely God "gave us doctors" ---- WRONG.

They take oath to foreign gods and goddesses. Their methodology does not match Jesus'. Their gospel does not match Jesus. Their "holiness" does not emulate Jesus'. Their GLORY does not go to Jesus. They are impostors!!

How can two walk together unless they are in agreement? God is a holy God, and He has given us specific instructions in the word of God for when we are sick. James 5 --- that is it. Woe to whoever ADDS or SUBTRACTS to that word. Here is what it says:

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him

These are precious, beautiful, TRUE, awesome words of promise!! I have lived by these words and did not innoculate any of my 5 children. Do you know that none of them even had an ear infection?? To enroll them in school when I did after home schooling, a PA while examining their ears exclaimed how BEAUTIFUL they were. All 3 of the ones she was examining. Finally I caught on - she was talking about their INNER ears!

I asked her if that was what she meant. She said she had NEVER seen virgin-like ears, with no scarring (from ear infections, as always occurs) in ANY children my kids' ages!! Yes, HE WAS FAITHFUL TO ME!!

He led me through home births as my only PHYSICIAN!! He protected my family from diseases, and healed them - without drugs - when they did hit! He was taking me through this journey then to bring this GOOD NEWS TO YOU NOW!!

Fear NOT!! Go to the WORD of God for ALL OF YOUR HEALTH of BODY, as you for all of your HEALTH OF YOUR SOUL!!!! He truly took care of all we needed to cleanse ourselves from SIN, and as fully took care of our need to be cleansed from SICKNESS.

If we add to the Cross of Jesus for our sins, the Bible says we will nullify the Blood. Careful, becauuse the same happens for ANYTHING we would apply that Blood to - including sickness and disease.

Follow what the Bible says SIMPLY to do for sickness and disease. Plead the BLOOD of Jesus over yourself and your household. Anoint all portals with oil - any kind! - if you are able to. We have a big God, who NEVER intended us to stray from this SIMPLE but powerful truth and remedy!!

Don't fear, but cling to the Word of God for EVERY matter. Apply the Blood of Jesus, trusting in the Cross and the FINISHED WORK therein -- for EVERY matter. Do not believe the reports of the world. Whose report have you believed? If it is in the Word of God, then THAT is the report you are to believe, and no other!!

"Paul's Thorn in the Flesh", or "How To Come Up With An Ignorant Excuse"

Paul’s “Thorn In The Flesh”

Pauline Propaganda:
“Paul had a nasty, incurable eye disease, and God said, ‘Live with it’!”

In the quest for truth, one of the first things we learn to watch out for is hearsay and unfounded stories. Some stories we call “lies” and others we just call “rumors”. The only difference is that one is intentionally perpetrated in order to dissuade, deflect or confuse and that one is called a “lie”. The other is caused through mere carelessness or the believing another’s ignorant conclusion making. That is the kind that we call rumor. Rumor spread to other people for a desired response becomes propaganda.

A rumor looks at things with a quick glance, without digging deeper, without gathering real evidence. A rumor often follows the bent of a person’s heart and what they “want” to think or report about something. It reads into events and statements and creates its own “new” truth. It somehow knows that it is being “careless”, but doesn’t really care, as long as it gets peoples’ attention or influences people in some way.

In fact, often a rumor is quickly created for the sake of the creator – the person starting such statements and stories, because that person is anxious to discredit some one or some thing. The person who starts rumors often has admitted issues of the heart, and therefore does not pursue the truth but rather his or her own selfish motives.

In some cases, a rumor is started to cover up ones own inadequacies. For instance, a rumor can be used by someone who would like to believe that there is nothing wrong with his own faith and prayers, since he tried to pray for healing for someone and it never came. What a better thing if he can latch onto a good-sounding story to justify his own or someone else’s shortcoming.

Worse yet, a rumor can be used to attempt financial advantage, political sway, and protect “sacred cows”. What preacher wants to risk offending those generous tithers who make their money in the medical profession if he can come up with a scripture-quoting rumor to convince the others that God needs the medical professionals?

Amazingly, in the face of hundreds of scriptures which point to the will of God to perform healing and forgiveness for all, today’s preachers continue to pass along a mere “rumor” – a lie as the devil certainly knows it is – the dramatic caveat or “tragic exception” to the “God wishes to heal all sickness” truth found in the Word of God!

Recently I attended a church, having just spent time in the Word myself that morning at home. The Lord had taken me to James five – the whole chapter. I wasn’t looking for the “healing passage” (James 5:13-18); I just happened to end up there.

I remember reading right before these verses pertaining to healing, and thinking how practical James was: “If you are this, then do that”; “If you need that, then do this” et cetera. That morning in this conservative church, didn’t the pastor start out by saying basically the same thing! “Hmmm, so far so good,” I thought.

However, having noticed what his sermon was titled – The Issue of Divine Healing – I was still braced for what might follow. Sadly, something from a “different spirit” did take over the rest of the message. Faith building you ask? Let’s call it faith busting!

He began by reading the passage in James, and noted how easy it sounded, and how conclusive it appeared. He said, “One might get the impression from this that the Lord wants to heal every sickness.” In the echo of the entire Word of God – that would be a “duh”, and he should have ended his sermon after that first sentence!

But he went on to present an unfortunate tragic caveat – a mere rumor and an easily disproven one at that – to negate the all-inclusiveness of the passage in James, as well as the rest of the Gospels and so much of the Bible.
You see, folks, Paul – according to this rumor – himself had a sickness, and God told him He would not heal it for him!

He could have just as easily reported that Paul had a sin and God told Paul He would not forgive it. As we read throughout the entire scriptures, both of these statements would be equal.

The pastor took us to II Corinthians 12:7 – 10. With that scripture he added one of the most anti-faith rumors to hit the Body of Christ, and proceeded to preach “doubt” and unbelief for the remainder of his sermon.

The passage reads as follows:
“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (II Cor.12:7-10).

From this passage alone and some extremely careless exegesis, the pastor fell tragically victim to the rumor that keeps millions from receiving their blood-bought “right” to healing from the Cross of Jesus. Call him a rumor bearer or pall bearer – they both add up to the same thing: the Gospel of Jesus denigrated in its purchase, its purpose, its meaning and its ministration.

Just think, the sick – both present and future, suffering, dying, leaving behind them hurt and cheated loved ones and family, leaving unfinished calls given them by God – have been deceived out of their divine, “miraculous” healing from God – and all from a mere rumor!

I went home troubled and stirred in my spirit, thinking, “This man just got away with murder!” I poured back into the Word and some of my books again to see how in the world supposed theologians could find any excuse to report this as being in the Word of God.

Interestingly, I noted that only those who fully believed in the atoning work of Jesus to defeat all the works of the devil (sin and sickness) showed true thoroughness in looking into the true meaning of the phrase “thorn in the flesh”. Only from these individuals did I see any close examination as to what it always referred to in scripture, and what it never referred to in scripture (i.e. disease).

Actually, there are many writers who go to great length pointing this out. F. F. Bosworth writes with great thoroughness in Christ The Healer, as does T. L. Osborn in Healing The Sick. My guess is that only those with the faith that has seen results have the courage to truly seek out the real truth behind this passage.

For if one accurately searches out the meaning of this passage, he or she will find that in no way does this passage negate the fact that God does wish to heal all diseases!

While these great authors do go into great detail, I will only provide the highlights here. My purpose is not to convince you or win you in argument. My purpose is to call your attention to something purported to be truth which is in fact a lie, and I urge you to check it out for yourself.
In highlight and summary, however, I would like to present the following facts.

First, the word for “thorn” is not a thing, but actually a person. The Greek word used for thorn is “angelos” – a being, actually a “messenger”. In fact, Paul’s use of Greek language attributes to this person or being a gender of “male”. The problem is, the idea of “disease” in Greek has no gender!

This word “angelos” is used 188 times in the Bible. It is used as “messenger” seven times, and as “angel” 181 times. It always refers to a person and never to a thing. That is, in its 188 times used in the Word of God, it is NEVER used to refer to disease!

Furthermore, throughout the Old Testament, whenever it is used it is always followed by a reference to the “persons” it is referring to. One example of that is the Canaanites. In Numbers 33:55 we read, “If ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land (Canaan) from before you; then it shall come to pass that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.”

Secondly, it was always used as an “expression”, and never to any actual literal “thing”. It never describes something literally sticking into or affecting in any physical way someone’s flesh! It always rather describes problematic persons or beings.

Today we use the expression “pain in the butt” when referring to annoying people or events. This never means a literal malfunction or discomfort in ones gluteus maximus! Neither did this Biblical phrase “thorn in the flesh” ever refer to a literal physical disfunction or ailment in ones skin or flesh.

Yet, if the child of a chiropractor were to ask her dad to do something about her ‘pain in the butt’ (little sister), so the dad might say, “No I won’t. You’ll learn how to deal with her (not “it”) like a big girl”.

So, let’s rephrase this little dialogue: “I asked my Daddy to get rid of my ‘pain in the butt’, but he told me he wasn’t going to do that, because I was old enough to learn to handle her myself.”

What an insult and horrible rumor if someone reported the chiropractor telling his own child, “No, I won’t take care of that myofascial pain you are experiencing in your body (your proverbial “butt”). Just deal with it!”

How horrible to report that that chiropractor will help other people but not his very own daughter!

Yet this is the horrible discrediting of the blood of Jesus and the heart of the Father that happened in that church that morning. Sadly, the same report happens over and over across the land. This is the horrible report that men and women “in the name of Jesus” state – that God actually told Paul He would not take his disease away! Nothing could be further from the heart of the Father towards Paul or towards us.

Third, the mission of this “thorn” Paul said was “to buffet”. The word used for buffet is kolaphizō, and the action of it is “blow after blow”, or violent “fist after fist”. This word, as well, is NEVER ANYWHERE used in scripture in discussing disease.

Fourth, Paul, with regularity not matched by any other Biblical writer, often described in words the many things he endured at the hands of Satan. Here’s a few:

· Chastened and not killed
· Stripes above measure
· In prisons more frequent
· In deaths often
· Five times received I forty stripes save one
· Thrice was I beaten with rods
· Once was I stoned
· Imprisonments
· Tumults
· Dishonor
· Evil report
· Disputing continually with false brethren
· In perils of robbers
· In perils of mine own countrymen
· In perils by the heathen
· In perils in the city
· In perils in the wilderness
· In perils in the sea
· In perils among false brethren
· In weariness
· In hunger and thirst
· In cold
· Naked
· Reviled
· Persecuted
· Defamed
· Made as the filth of the world

The man was not timid with words! He also was in no way hesitant to talk about all the things he endured on a continual basis – from the smallest to the greatest, from mere weariness to being beaten with rods.
Don’t you think it strange that never ONCE did he include in those discussions that he endured sickness – of any sort? Not once!

And if in fact he did have the horrible eye illness (opthalmia) that the rumor describes (which undoubtedly would have been affecting him as he even wrote those words, would it not), don’t you think it strange that he in all of his writings never mentioned such a horrible disease – not even once?

Particularly, if this one disease was that “thorn” that he had sought the Lord so much about and was the one affliction he would have to live with, most certainly he would have cited “disease” at least a few times in his list of trials. Yet not even once did he do so.

If Paul was so open and honest about his many physical trials, and HE never spoke about constant affliction with any disease, how presumptuous it would be for someone to base a whole doctrine – particularly one which would do such horrible damage to peoples’ faith – on a rumor, which is never even alluded to by Paul himself nor in any other way proven or even supported in the least little way!

The fact is, this story is a rumor, and is in fact a lie! Sadly it draws people away from the Cross daily. It deliberately steers people away from that which Jesus suffered and died for, but all for this insidious rumor, died for in vain.

If you were a parent and you declared the following statements regarding your care for your children, see how you would feel if one of your children came and you told them you refused to heal them. The mere possibility of an exception being made for someone as faithful as Paul, asking God so consistently for what is promised for all of His children, is ludicrous.

· (Psalm 103:3) (He) forgives all yours sins and heals all your diseases

· (Ex. 15:26) He said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

· (Matt. 4:24) News about him (Jesus) spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.

· (Matt. 8:16) When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

· (Matt. 12:15) Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and He healed all their sick

· (Matt. 14:14) When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

· (Matt. 14:36) and all who touched him were healed.

· (Mark 6:56) And wherever he went-into villages, towns or countryside-they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

· (Acts 5:16) Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil* spirits, and all of them were healed.

· (I Pet. 2:24) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

How careless, how callous, how truly wicked to draw a precious believer away from wonderful promises in the Word of God on the basis of such an ill-founded, ignorance-driven, heresaical lie!

If you ever think about spreading a rumor that poses such great exception to a “rule” or truth taught in scriptures, you better make extra sure that your exception is founded in truth – over and over, and beyond a shadow of a doubt – lest you became guilty of “taking away from the Word of God”!

The blood of billions of lives cut short by disease and aided and abetted by these careless preachers is on those preachers’ hands!

For all those preachers who have willingly preached this lie (or let’s just call it a “rumor”, in case they honestly did their best to exegete it properly), receive now the following warning from Revelation 22.19:
“And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.”

(Post note: Exactly one month later - to the day – after preaching this sermon, the pastor referred to in this chapter submitted his resignation due to “moral failure”.)

SO YOU THINK MODERN MEDICINE AND GOD WALK HAND IN HAND?

Why not listen in to this conversation. Then tell me what you think.

The Face Off

CONTESTANT #2: “I swear by Apollo the Physician and Asclepius and Hygeia and Panaceia and all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfill according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant.” (taken from the Hypocratic Oath)

CONTESTANT #1: “Don’t follow their thinking! I am the God that healeth thee. You are not to follow any other gods. You are not to seek out any other help but that which comes directly from My own hand! By My stripes you were healed. I died for your sins and your diseases. I endured them all on the cross. I paid the price for them all on the cross.”

“By the blood I shed, you no longer have to be bound by any sickness or sin, or any other work of the evil one. If any among you is sick, let him call for those believers whose faith is strong and mature, the “elders”. Let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in My name. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and I will raise him up!”

CONTESTANT #2: “Hi. This is Dr. Morgan’s office. We’re calling to inform you that it was malignant, and the doctor needs to see you right away. You’ll have about six months to live. There is no hope for you. But we do want to make these last months as pleasant for you as possible.”

CONTESTANT #1: “My dear child, don’t believe them. I love you. I created you. And by the stripes of My Son Jesus, your healing has been secured. I have given you all that you need for while you dwell on earth. It is not My will that you die spiritually by your sins or die physically by disease. My Son paid a dear price so that neither of those things must happen to you. Take My remedy. Enjoy it. Believe Me and you will see it!”

CONTESTANT #2: “Just take this medicine. If you experience any of the side effects listed, let me know right away. There is one other drug I can give you. Let’s try this one first. Nothing in this life is perfect, but we can try to get as close as possible for you.”

CONTESTANT #1: ”Don’t partake of their sorceries! By My stripes you were healed. I shed My blood for you. It’s unlimited and it’s free. It is totally effective on all diseases, and the side effects are wonderful - righteousness, peace and joy! Receive it and apply it to all of your needs!”

CONTESTANT #2: “I think we’re going to have to operate. We’ll make the incision as small as possible, but that’s the only way you’re going to get rid of this! If we don’t, it will just progress, and you will surely die!”

CONTESTANT #1: “Don’t let them cut you. They pierced Me with a sword and they drove nails through My hands and My feet. I let them do this to Me so that you wouldn’t have to let them do that to you! They abused My body so that yours would be well! Disease cannot destroy your body, but you must drive it out and keep it out by faith. All you need is My blood and your faith! Believe it, with your whole being, and you shall surely live!”

CONTESTANT #2: “I’d like a check-up. It’s been a while, and I am getting older. If there is any problem, I’d like to catch it before it’s too late!”

CONTESTANT #1: “I give you My Word. It does not change as you get older! It applies to all your afflictions. I am Alpha and Omega; I am the Beginning and the End! No condition is too early or too late for Me!”

CONTESTANT #2: “Take your clothes off. I need to examine your body.”

CONTESTANT #1: “Your body is the temple of My Spirit. I want you to dress with modesty and holiness. No one is to look upon any of your nakedness unless it is a husband or a wife that I have given to you for a holy union!”

CONTESTANT #2: “You need to get your immunization shots! The injection site may be sore for a while, but hopefully you won’t get the sickness, or at least not as bad!”

CONTESTANT#1: “Do not fear any diseases that the world fears. I had nails put into Me, so they wouldn’t have to put needles into you! My blood covers you and protects you from all the works of the evil one!”

“Through the power of My blood, I will protect you and your loved ones from disease, just as I protected my children for forty years as they crossed the desert. Think of it – not one of them got sick even once – for forty years! This same protection I make available to you today through My blood.”

CONTESTANT #2: “I’d just like to see how I’m really doing.”

CONTESTANT #1: “Walk by My words, not their observation of you. The just shall live by faith. If you need to look at your flesh to see if My Word is true, then you are walking by sight! I want you to walk by faith!”

“Your assurance comes from My words, not theirs.”
CONTESTANT #2: “I just want to know what I have.”

CONTESTANT #1: “I’ve already told you - you have protection and healing from Me.”

CONTESTANT #2: “But God uses doctors!”

CONTESTANT #1: “Only to illustrate failure. I used the prophets of Baal, too. First they did their thing and failed, then I answered Elijah’s prayer! I use their failure as a contrast for My glory!”

CONTESTANT #2: “Luke was a doctor you know.”
CONTESTANT #1: “Yes, and I used to be a carpenter. Peter was a fisherman. Matthew was a tax collector. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. All of these people dropped their worldly calls, and went on to follow Me!
That means, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also.”
